Studying at ACOM (Higher Education)

Study in your own space, at your own pace..

"As a young married man, with two children, and a mortgage, I cannot afford to go to Bible College as a residential student.  ACOM allows me the flexibility to study while on the job!  That way, I can both support my family, complete my Bachelor of Theology, and have a ministry context to which I can immediately apply it!"

You get the benefit of face-to-face training with the flexibility of external study. We operate a "no campus" training model, so the materials you need to successfully complete your subject are provided either via our elearning platform, or a subject package delivered to your door. We also offer face to face facilitations and place an emphasis on Personal Formation

You can study at three levels:

Distance Education

ACOM have three key offerings to help students make the most of distance education:

Workload

ACOM Higher Education subjects are studied in three "Trimesters" of 13 weeks throughout the year. Most subjects require approximately 162 hours to be completed during a Trimester. These hours normally consist of the following:

  • 12 sessions (designed for one per week)
  • Academic essay (requiring additional reading and research)
  • Practical Field assignment (often flexible to fit your context)
  • Ministry within your local setting (flexible to fit your context) for Undergraduate Students
  • 3 day face-to-face facilitation (optional)
  • Integration Assignment (if not attending the facilitation)
