Leaders & Churches
Thank you for visiting our ACOM website. This first decade of the 21st century is incredibly challenging for Christian leaders serving God in a variety of callings. It is proving a very demanding time for those who lead local churches, especially as we re-examine and diversify how we are being and doing church.
God has always provided gifted leaders for his Church, men and women who have a deep intimacy with Christ and the courage and integrity to lead his people. God is raising up a new generation of leaders for his Church, who have a heart for mission, understand the times and know what to do. If you are one of those leaders, the Australian College of Ministries provides a unique 21st century learning experience to equip you for ministry and leadership.
ACOM tailors your curriculum choices to help you meet your calling. We offer a range of courses and subjects, which increase your knowledge-base and develop your skills, while supporting your personal spiritual formation at the same time. Because our model of training focuses on flexible delivery for student learning, there is no campus. You can stay in your home and church, and count your hours in ministry toward your course.
Our courses are tailored for God's people wherever they work, minister and live - in the church, workplace and community.
To be equipped for leadership, we recommend our undergraduate courses, especially our Bachelor of Theology. For advanced professional development we suggest our postgraduate courses (Certificates and Diplomas, Master of Arts specialising in Church Leadership, or our Doctor of Ministry program). You may also be eligible for postgraduate courses if you already have a degree in a discipline other than theology.
For leaders wanting to develop disciples of Christ in your local church, then our Vocational Education department called "LocalNet" can give you a leg up to providing accredited Certificate III and IV courses for your people.
